About Greentech

Accountable for the asset, not just the package

Greentech Scotland delivers electrical and renewable infrastructure across commercial, industrial and residential projects — and stays accountable for those assets after handover.

The business is structured around the lifecycle rather than a single trade: the discipline that delivers distribution, fire systems and generation is the discipline that inspects them years later.

Position

Why the lifecycle framing exists

We started as an electrical contractor and grew into the renewable side of the same problem: the buildings we maintain needed generation, storage and charging, and the assets we installed needed someone to look after them afterwards.

That is why the business is structured around the whole lifecycle rather than a single package. The same engineering discipline that delivers a distribution board or a fire system is what commissions a solar array and what inspects it five years later.

What that means commercially is continuity: the team that prices the work delivers it, and the business that delivered it is the one that comes back to inspect it.

We would rather show you a test certificate than describe ourselves in superlatives.

What we answer for

Competence is the entry requirement. Accountability is the difference.

Three things sit with us from tender to the end of an asset's life — not three different companies with a scope boundary between them.

  • 01

    Design and delivery

The package is designed, installed and handed over by the people who priced it.

    • Electrical design and installation from intake through to final circuits.
    • Renewable scope — solar PV, battery storage and EV charging — coordinated with the electrical infrastructure it depends on.
    • One project team accountable for the interfaces between packages, not just their own scope.
  • 02

    Certification and compliance

Third-party certification across the disciplines we work in, available to check.

    • NICEIC Approved Contractor for electrical contracting and periodic inspection.
    • BAFE SP203-1 for fire detection and alarm design, installation, commissioning and maintenance.
    • MCS certification for renewable technology installation, with CHAS Advanced and SafeContractor assessing health and safety competence.
  • 03

    Lifecycle and asset care

The same business stays accountable after the handover certificate is issued.

    • Planned maintenance, testing and remedials on installed systems.
    • Renewable Condition Reports on existing solar, battery and EV assets — including assets installed by others.
    • Condition evidence structured for insurers, asset registers and capital planning.

How a project runs

Four stages, with nobody standing in the gap between them

Most electrical problems are created between stages rather than inside them. These are ours, and they are all ours.

  1. 01

    Tender and preconstruction

We price the scope as drawn, flag what we think is missing, and say when the programme or the existing supply makes it unrealistic. No assumptions buried in the price.

  2. 02

    Design coordination

Distribution, containment, controls and renewables coordinated with the other services before first fix — the point where most interface problems are either prevented or created.

  3. 03

    Delivery on site

Sequenced against the client's operating constraints: trading hours, production, term dates or handover dates. Site controls treated as part of delivery, not overhead.

  4. 04

    Handover and aftercare

Testing, certification, schedules and labelled boards that match what was installed — then maintenance, condition reporting and remedial work as the asset ages.

If the specification, the programme or the existing supply makes a scope unrealistic, we say so at tender stage rather than after appointment.
