EV charging for landlords and residential portfolios

Charging is becoming a deciding factor for tenants, and retrofitting a development later costs more than designing it in now. Funding may be available where a route applies — but the design decision is the one that lasts.

We assess the whole site: supply capacity, distribution, load management, and how residents will actually be billed for the electricity they use.

Typical clients

Landlords, factors, housing providers, estates

First question

Spare capacity at each site's origin

Design principle

Scalable infrastructure, phased chargepoints

Ongoing

Routes that may apply to a portfolio

Each card is generated from our central funding database. Where a window has closed, it says so — we do not present a closed scheme as open.

What you need to know

What a portfolio assessment covers

Each site is different, so the assessment is done per site and then rolled into one plan. We look at the incoming supply and spare capacity, the distribution arrangement, the parking layout and the practical cable routes between them.

  • Number of sites, spaces and current electrical capacity
  • Whether load management is needed to avoid a supply upgrade
  • Charger selection: shared, allocated, or a mix
  • Resident access, app or RFID, and how usage is recharged
  • Civil works: ducting, kerbs, bays and lighting
  • A phased plan so the first phase does not block phase three

Funding, honestly

Landlord-facing chargepoint support has been restructured more than once. Where a route is open it usually pays a fixed amount per eligible chargepoint, requires eligible off-street parking, and requires approval before installation.

We check the current position for each scheme before a client commits, and we will say plainly when there is no route at that moment — the technical case may still stand on its own.

The things that get decided too late

Load management, billing arrangements and cable routes are cheap to decide at design stage and expensive to change once bays are finished. We would rather model three scenarios at the start than revisit a completed car park.

Tell us how many properties and sites, roughly how much parking, and what your residents or tenants are asking for. We will come back with a per-site view.

We use your details to respond to this enquiry only. We do not apply for funding on your behalf, and we do not decide whether you are eligible.

A scheme not listed here?

We only publish routes we can point to a source for. If you have seen funding mentioned elsewhere, send it to us and we will check the current position rather than guess.

Already have renewable assets?

Funding is not the only opportunity. Understanding the condition, safety and performance of existing solar, battery or charging assets could identify problems, risks and optimisation opportunities — particularly where an installation has never been independently inspected.
