About these terms
Greentech Scotland (“we”, “us”) is a commercial contractor based in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. Our company and VAT registration details are available on request.
By using this website or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these terms. Where we issue a written quotation, the terms in that quotation take precedence over these terms to the extent of any conflict.
Use of this website
The content of this website is provided for general information. Technical guidance articles, calculators and case studies describe our approach and are not a substitute for a site-specific survey or professional advice.
The ROI calculator produces an indicative model only. Figures depend on assumptions about yield, tariffs, self-consumption and installation cost, and must not be relied on as a quotation or a financial projection.
All text, images, branding and design on this website are our property or used with permission. You may not copy or republish material from it without our written consent.
Enquiries, quotations and tenders
Submitting an enquiry through this website does not create a contract. We will review what you send and respond with any questions, a survey appointment, or a quotation.
Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise, and are based on the information and access available at the time. A contract is formed only when you accept a quotation in writing, or when we confirm an order in writing.
Where we are asked to price from a tender pack, our submission is made on the basis of the documents issued at that time. Any ambiguity, omission or later revision is treated as a change and priced accordingly.
Site surveys
Surveys are provided to establish the scope, access arrangements and technical constraints of a project. Findings are indicative and may change once areas are opened up, circuits are isolated or existing installations are tested.
You agree to provide safe access, accurate information about the site, and details of any known hazards, asbestos-containing materials or restrictions on working hours.
Price and payment
Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment terms are stated on each invoice, typically 30 days from the date of invoice. We may require staged payments on larger contracts, and this will be set out in the quotation.
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue commercial invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, and to suspend work where an undisputed invoice remains unpaid.
Where a contract provides for retention, it is released in accordance with the agreed terms and only once the relevant completion or making-good obligations have been met.
Programme and access
Dates given for commencement and completion are estimates given in good faith. We are not responsible for delay caused by factors outside our control, including access restrictions, other trades, adverse weather, material shortages or statutory approvals such as DNO or building warrant processes.
We will programme our works to minimise disruption to your operations and will agree working hours, isolation periods and out-of-hours arrangements with you in advance.
Changes
Any change to the scope, specification, programme or access must be agreed in writing before the additional work is carried out. We will confirm the effect on price and programme at the time.
Defects and warranty
We will rectify defects in our workmanship that are reported within 12 months of practical completion, unless a different period is agreed in writing. Equipment and materials carry the manufacturer's warranty, and we will pass the benefit of that warranty to you.
The warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, work carried out by others, or interference with our installation.
Title and risk
Risk in goods passes on delivery. Title in goods remains with us until they have been paid for in full.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of production, loss of business or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in connection with a contract is limited to the value of that contract, or to the level of our insurance cover where greater.
Termination
Either party may terminate a contract if the other commits a material breach that is not remedied within 14 days of written notice, or becomes insolvent.
On termination you remain liable for the value of work carried out and materials ordered up to that point.
Governing law
These terms and any contract between us are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
