Greentech Energy Business Case
What could your roof actually do?
An indicative model of system size, annual financial benefit and payback for a commercial solar array — built on conservative central Scotland assumptions.
This is a screening tool, not a surveyed proposal. Results depend on your energy data, roof, structural capacity, network connection and the commercial review that follows.
Your site
Your total annual electricity bill, excluding standing charges.
Results are indicative, based on the assumptions entered and shown. They are subject to survey, structural assessment, metered energy data, network requirements, design and commercial review.

If solar, battery or EV infrastructure is already installed, its condition matters more than its specification.
Check the condition of existing assetsHow we model it
Conservative by design
Anyone can make a spreadsheet show a two-year payback. These are the assumptions behind these figures, and the ones we hold ourselves to in a proposal.
- 01
Central Scotland yield
We model a realistic annual yield per kWp for a tilted rooftop array in central Scotland, rather than a southern-England figure. Every proposal is re-modelled against your actual irradiance and shading.
- 02
Sized to consumption
The array is sized against your demand profile so you consume the power you generate. Where roof area is the constraint, the model tells you and we look at car-port or ground-mount instead.
- 03
Funding shown separately
Installed cost is shown before and after first-year tax relief. Grant and loan eligibility is confirmed for your specific project before you commit to anything.
