Industrial lighting installation inside a manufacturing facility

Industrial, warehousing & logistics

Live plant, high bays, and roofs that can generate

Industrial and logistics sites combine high-current distribution, continuous operations and some of the largest available roof areas in the country.

The electrical design and the renewable opportunity are the same question: what capacity does this site have, and what is it actually being asked to run?

What tends to go wrong

Production does not pause for the electrical works

Industrial projects fail on the operational plan long before they fail on the technical one.

  1. 01

The works run alongside live plant

Isolation planning, permit discipline and sequencing agreed with the operations team — not imposed on it once the order is placed.

  2. 02

Capacity is assumed until it is tested

Plant gets added to distribution that was never assessed. We verify capacity and protection coordination before designing the addition.

  3. 03

    Height changes the specification

Detection and lighting that work at four metres do not work at fourteen. High-bay optics, uniformity and glare control decide whether the install is usable.

Where the scopes meet

The largest roof on the site is usually the fastest route to a lower bill

Where the structure, the roof covering and the connection all support it — and only where they do.

One contractor on both sides of that interface is the whole argument.

  1. 01

    Roof area

    Electrical scope

Capacity at the intake, isolation, metering and the containment that carries generation into the site's distribution.

    Renewable scope

PV sized against the site's daytime load profile, not against the headline square footage of the roof.

  2. 02

    Vehicle movement

    Electrical scope

Supply, containment and protection for charging, yard services and future expansion.

    Renewable scope

Charging sequenced against fleet duty cycles so the connection request stays realistic.

  3. 03

    Production lighting

    Electrical scope

Distribution, high-bay optics and uniformity for safe forklift and plant movement.

    Renewable scope

Controls and metering that make the reduced load visible in the site's energy reporting.

Existing assets

Industrial roofs carry the most asset risk

A generation or storage asset on an industrial site sits above production. When it degrades quietly, nobody notices until the numbers move.

Commercial RCR — from £295 + VAT
  • Condition reporting on solar PV, battery storage and EV charging across one site or a group of sites.

  • Findings prioritised against production risk, not just asset age.

  • Suitable as part of due diligence, insurance review or capital planning.

Evidence

What we can and cannot show

Stated plainly

No industrial project is published on this site yet. We would rather say that than dress a capability up as a case study. Certification, scope and references for industrial work are available on request.

Send the site constraint first

Shutdown windows, plant that cannot stop and the connection you already have. Tell us those and we can tell you what is realistic.
