Client challenge

On a volume development the electrical package sits on the critical path. A delay at first fix holds the plasterers; a delay at second fix holds the painters and the handover. The requirement was consistent, compliant installation across dozens of plots without creating bottlenecks.

Delivery

Teams were ready as timber kits went up, keeping first fix ahead of the following trades and second fix aligned to handover dates.

Testing and commissioning

Electrical Installation Certificates and building warrant completion paperwork issued per plot so homes could be occupied without waiting on the package as a whole.

Greentech approach

  Appointed as sole electrical contractor so logistics and labour could be sequenced against the build programme rather than negotiated site by site.

  Plots tested and certified as they completed, not batched at the end.

Engineering scope

• LV distribution and final circuits for power and lighting across 61 plots.
• Grade D1 LD2 mains-wired smoke and heat detection to Scottish legislation.
• Pre-wiring for solar PV integration and EV charging readiness.
